Resolved Question: My ex-employer is giving me the run around with my last paycheck?

I live in Ohio. I quit my job with the local golf course on the 24th of july and yet to receive my last paycheck (today is 27th of august). I have contacted my boss multiple times (tells me same thing, that he had mailed it the day it was issued, and that he will check with the accountant and get back to me.) He has yet to get back to me once. Also, I have left multiple messages and voicemails with the club manager and accountant, yet still, no replies... I have done some research and have found out that OH labor laws give an employer about a 30 day gap after a person has quit untill they have to give out the last paycheck. Should I just file a suit against the club or what?

I sort of asked a similar question but I need to word it better; Which would you choose? 1. Up North- 4 hours away from my family, 8 hours away from my fiance's family. (Everyone in both families goes up north at least once of year.) We're all outdoor/hunting people. Pros: Lodge/Reception/Ceremony on the same grounds ($50.00/night), club is closed within gates so driving is minimal. Golf course, archery/shooting range, skeet and trap, beach, fishing, hiking, four wheelers, dirt bikes, boating. Family will most likely we taking a weekend off because of the drive, so there will be plenty of things to do together, since we don't see my fiance's family- they live in Ohio, we're michigan. Food is wonderful and is only $13-$17/plate, but without alcohol- which they charge al lot for. Cons: Not as formal as I've always wanted. People will be slightly separated during reception- main ball room (fights only like 9 tables), a bar room off the side completely by it's self, and the slightly higher room with only a large doorway to see out into the ball room. If it rains, there is no where to have the ceremony in a appropriate place except next to the fire place with wild game on the walls. (We don't really want to get married in a church.) Also (Everyone tells me this is no big deal, but I think it is) when we're done eating, we'd need to get rid of the tables (which we'll need to rent) to clear for the dance floor. 2. Venue near my home. Pros; Alcohol is included with price/plate (33.50), hall will set up and take down decorations- they told us to just show up with our stuff and come back for the wedding. They will provide chairs, linens, scarfs and little white lights, china, silverware, cake cutting, glass to enclose any centerpieces we choose with candles, 5 1/2 hour bar, champagne for the bridal tables, chair covers, and table. Also- they someone on staff who makes cakes at discounted rate. Ceremony will take place out through the ball where they have a gazebo and they set up the chairs and provide clergy for $300 extra. If it rains, they will move everything inside for no extra cost. Owner coordinates everything on the day of the wedding, right down to providing a card box. She'll work with our band, photographer, etc. AND my aunt and several friends were married there to attest that this place is actually real, lol. Reception hall has More than enough room to have the dance floor free from tables, and has a stage for the bridal party and then the band. Cons: Lodging is probably 40-50 dollars more per night off site. Price/plate is somewhat more expensive. (30.55 although that includes everything mentioned above, including alcohol) People would have to drive from the reception to they're lodging. Depending on when people choose to arrive from Ohio, we might not get to spend extra time with the family. Some things to add- my fiancee and I aren't able to contribute much. We have credit card debt, still paying for an apt, and a little bit of school loans :( and we're going to finance the honeymoon. But we'd like to pay and upgrade the bar and menu to pick up some of the cost, and if we meet our quest list quota, we'll pay for any extra friends we may have. Final note- My parent's are the only ones paying for the actual wedding. So, if you were us- which would you choose? We're leaning towards the place closest to us, because it's more convenient and we both love the hall.

I am thinking of locating to the Columbus, ohio area. Want to settle in a nice neighborhood, buy a condo, downsizing, due to retirement, 55+ young female, single, who loves golf, outdoors, walking to shop, friendly neighborhood, enjoys concerts, live sports etc. Can anyone give me some guidance on a nice condo area to retire that is in the North west area that is not all youngsters. Any info will be apprceciated.

- Current/Best Ever Handicap +1 - Distance hit with driver, 5 iron, SW 290, 195, 105 - Avg putts per round 28-34 - Avg and preferred ball flight depending on club AVG=high ballooning shot PREF=low shot, penetrating, that climbs - Tournament experience if any state golf tourny Ohio HS AGA tournys Regional golf league (over 100 played in) HS Club championships - Hours you do/can dedicate to golf improvement every week up to 5 days a week I have been playing a while and I play mizuno mp32 irons and a g10 driver. I have stiff flexed shafts, i was told that i need to get shafts in between stiff and x-stiff by the mizuno shaft optimizer system. How much of the undesired high ball flight do u think i should attribute to my shafts being too whippy for me, and how much should be attributed to steep swing. I dont try to lift the ball...i usually have a normal divot that enters the ground just in front of or on the spot the ball was lying. Swing speed with irons is 90-94 and driver i do not know, but probably more than that knowing my greediness to hitting it far haha. I am not as accurate since i hit the ball so high, feels like hook, slice spin is exaggerated because it goes so high, also the wind plays with it more. Willing to give up few yards if necessary to keep it lower. Let me know what you think, thanks

What and how many pairs of clothing should i bring. also...im 14. what items should i remember to pack for entertainment. example: a charger for my phone, mp3 player...etc.

Resolved Question: how to get noticed by college golf scouts?

Im 15 and i live in ohio. i play golf in a lot of local tournaments and win about 60% of them. Im a true 5 handicap. is there any advice anyone could give me about getting noticed by golf scouts? My family also doesn't have a ton of money so ajga events are most likely out of the question.. Thanks!

Resolved Question: If there is no precedent, can judge wait until a similar case is decided and follow it?

or if there is no prior case involving golf injuries but there is a prior case involving a tennis match? Must the judge follow that case? What about state to state if there is no precedent in Ohio but there is precedent in Utah. Must the Ohio judge follow the Utah decision or may the Ohio judge wait for an Ohio case to develop precedent?

I am a 17 year old minor who works at a golf course, and was forced to retrieve a clint in an open fairway area during a terrible lighting storm. I was told that I HAD to retrieve him. I live in ohio... does this break any laws, and if so which ones specifically? The course knew there was a storm coming in, and they sent a client out walking on the course. I was told that I had to go get him. I asked if I really had to go out considering it was so dangerous, and I was told I had to since I would be safe in a golf cart. Other employees were there and heard the entire exchange, does this violate my rights???? do you really think I was safe in a golf cart in a lightning storm???? really???? ok... first of all... sorry i had a typo.... Some users have the need to be rude and talk down to others... and secondly to the MATT W answer... you don't know me and I am certainly NOT lazy, and it wasn't raining by the way...
