Voting Question: Should I join my colleges golf team?

I go to a small Division III school in Ohio. In high school I played Football and Baseball. Im pretty athletic and sports come pretty easy for me. I won many awards for my athletics in high school. I originally went to this college to play football but a knee injury kept me from following through with it. I started playing more golf. I played while in high school but not for the golf team. In high school I would golf a couple times a month and my game wasn’t very good. I was about an 18 handicap. However, I started to play more over the summer going into college and I have dropped my handicap to around 8. I really enjoy playing golf and miss the competition of sports. I am just wondering if playing college golf would turn into more of a job than something that I would enjoy doing. Ive never been on a golf team so I am just confused about how everything works. By the way the school I go to has a no cut policy when it comes to its athletics. So my skill level really isn’t that important whether I can make the team. Im just wondering would it be worth my time to join the team or would they look at my as an outcast because I did not play golf in high school and might not have the same skills as the other players?

Cleveland Economics Human Rights Biology Math Foundations Algebra 1 Algebra 2 Geometry CPE Science Spanish (1-3) Chemistry US History World Studies I'm also planning on doing an in school marketing program which has produced America's first totally green classroom and is Junior Achievement's most successful program ever. So I'm a junior in high school, and my GPA is a little low. However, I have many extracurriculars, legacy at Ohio State, and AP Credit. My GPA is a 3.35. I'm working with a tutor now for the ACT so I'm hoping to score around a 25 or 26 for my first time and then retake it. Do you think I can still get in despite my so-so GPA? Some other info- Extracurriculars-Golf (3 years-2 on varsity with 2 letters), B'nai Brith Youth Organization, Junior Council on World Affairs/Model UN (Best delegate at the University of Virginia), I'm a staff writer for the school newspaper, and I also do a few summer golf tours -I'll probably get some other awards this upcoming golf season 50 Volunteer Hours (Plan on doing more this summer) Legacy-My dad went to undergrad and law school at OSU. My grandpa went to undergrad and dental school there also. AP Classes-I took AP US and Comparative Government this year. I got a B this semester, so thats not bad. However, last year about 80% of the class got a 5 on both AP Government exams, and if you get a 5 the teacher bumps your grade up to an A. If I do that, that will help my GPA out a lot. I really want to go to Ohio State. I'm a junior in High School My GPA is fair (3.4). And I was hoping to get a 24 on the ACT (taking it for the first time in Feb.), and ultimately score a 26. I am in AP US Government and I'm taking Comp. Gov. next semester. I think I can get a 5 on both AP tests, last year 80% of the class did, so I should be good. I am active in JCWA (Junior Council on World Affairs) and I have played golf for 3 years (2 on varsity-lettered in both). I also won best delegate at The University of Virginia Model UN Conference last year. My dad went to law school and undergrad at OSU and donates to the Alumni Assoc. My grandpa also went to undergrad and dental school there. I also have a few teachers lined up to write recs. for me. Do you think I have a shot despite my kind of low GPA?

I only have a 3.2 25 ACT Black Male Student Government- Class Rep, Class Vice President, and Currently Student Body Vice President Did Basketball, Swimming, Golf, Track and Gymnastics Have a job- Lifeguard President of Scholars Program- (Black Student Union) Spanish Club Voted Student of Integrity of the Year of my school I go to one of the top school of ohio Improved a whole lot since freshman year 2 AP'S 2 Honors Classes Letter of Recommendation from congresswoman of my district.

My name is Tim and im from Northeast Ohio.. I am 23 as of Nov 5, weight 185, and 5 ft 10in Looking for a young women 19 - 23 years old I am pursuing a career in firefighting/paramedic, currently I am a server and bartender at Applebees, I get along with everyone and gained a large regular customer crowd because of my personality and respect. I am easy going, I find humor in tough situations. I know how to weaken people using wording to mess with their heads.. not like its a good quality but its what I do....alot better than physical fights. I play golf and tennis during the summer, and billiards and bowling during the winter. I am a very active person. I work out daily working on getting toned, and gaining muscle, and focus on cardio endurance.
