Voting Question: How can read my water meter if the water company is using a Electromagnetic Meter?

My meter is underground and has a copper wire leading to the surface where an enclosed plasitic plate has some trasmitter inside it. Once a month the water company has a guy cruise down the sidewalk and touch his hand held device that looks like a golf club to electronically read the meter. One month my bill is $67.78 and the next it's $179.65. I was out of town both months and the sprinklers are off. I'm pissed and I want to know how to dig down and see if there is a dial or faceplate to show an analog reading. Does anyone have any experience in this??? This is happening way too much and either I'm paying the neighbors water bill or their equipment is jacked up. Please advise.

I am looking for some golf equipment for a beginner. I found whole sets online and I found them separated by categories such as irons, woods, hybrids, wedges etc. What would somebody need who is somewhat a beginner? Resolved Question: A lot of sound equipment got wet... will it be ok?

My band was playing a gig at a golf club (private party) and the sprinklers went off! To make a long story short a lot of equipment got wet, guitars, amps, drums, mics, cables, and a power amp for the mains. Everything works fine now, but will there be any long term effects? Also, will my guitar neck warp? It didn't get too too wet but still..........

My husband is in charge of buying prizes for his golf banquet. With a budget of $300 and approximately 40 golfers (though not everyone needs to win something) what are some things that I could buy? Last year the guy went to Wal Mart and got all golf stuff & the golfers weren't too into that, saying if they need golf equipment they'll go out & buy it themselves.
