Alternatively you could explore the narrow streets of the old town on foot, shopping for souvenirs in the many charming designer boutiques. On Sundays the central park is always full of young people who meet for picnics under the shady trees. For the more active, there are opportunities to play golf or tennis. Those who enjoy water-sports can go fishing or swimming. You will probably want to hire a yacht or motor cruiser for the day to reach the best locations.

If you want to venture further afield you might hire a car and take of to see the sleepy villages in the Alaska countryside, or drive to the coast to while away the afternoon in one of the many secluded areas along the coastline.
